The First Tee
Objective: Create marketing materials

The First Tee of South Puget Sound was formed in 2010 from a collaborative effort involving Northwest Leadership Foundation, Meadow Park Golf Course, Chambers Bay Golf Course, and The First Tee. After incubating under Northwest Leadership Foundation, The First Tee of South Puget Sound received their own 501c3 status in June of 2011 and became the 201st chapter of The First Tee officially in October of 2011.

The First Tee of South Puget Sound is an organization built to impact the lives of young children by providing educational programs that build character, instill life enhancing values, and promote healthy life choices through the game of golf. To help drive that vision, Empac developed marketing collateral for their yearly events that appealed to children and parents in the south sound.

2015 US Open Marketing

2015 was the first year the US Open came to the Seattle area for one of golf's biggest events. The First Tee of South Puget Sound wanted to make a big impression during the event, so they got in touch with us to make some marketing collateral. We made a poster and sales sheet that included important information such as statistics and facts, the organization's core values, and relevant contact information for customers to inquire about the program. There were multiple edits for different sized advertisements depending on where the organization wanted to post them.

Harbottle Golf Classic

After the success of the US Open advertisements, The First Tee reached out to me to create some materials for the Harbottle Golf Classic coming up in September. The Harbottle Golf Classic is a tournament in memory of late founding board member John Harbottle III. The event is an opportunity to raise money for the organization to continue teaching young people core life values, important life skills, and confidence through the game of golf. When creating the collateral, we continued with the same design aesthetic as the previous materials to create consistency in the organization's branding. Materials for the upcoming event include Save the Date handouts and posters to be posted online and around the Tacoma area.


Britton is a gifted graphic designer. While working with Britton, he has successfully maintained The First Tee visual look and feel while helping to advance the success of our events by creating eye capturing work. He listens, ask questions, and has the ability to grasp concept. Which in turn creates exceptional visuals. In addition, he is responsive, creative, and talented - all characteristics that I value while doing business.
